The Pooch Pool – Terms and Conditions

Welcome to The Pooch Pool! Our dog swimming pool is a recreational facility designed exclusively for canine enjoyment and exercise. By using our services, you (the owner/guardian) agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. General Rules
Only dogs are permitted in the swimming pool. Humans are not allowed in the pool at any time.
Dogs must be supervised by their owner/guardian at all times while on the premises.
Dogs must be on a leash when outside of the pool area and will not be allowed to interact with other dogs unless in the same group.
Aggressive behaviour towards other dogs, owners, or staff will not be tolerated. Dogs or people exhibiting such behaviour may be asked to leave.
We currently do not cater for XL Bully breeds or any dog which us required by law to be muzzled.
Please DO NOT FEED your dog for at least 2hrs before swimming and 2hrs after. A few treats will be fine, just not a full meal. This is to avoid bloat or sickness.
No dogs under 6months of age will be allowed to enter the pool.
Vehicles and contents are parked at owners own risk.
There is limited parking so please only bring a maximum of 2 vehicles per group.
Any children under 14 MUST BE accompanied by 2 adults and be supervised at all times.
The Pooch Pool cannot be held responsible for any loss or injury to any dog, person or person whilst on the premises.

2. Health and Safety Commitment
To ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs in our care, owners must confirm the following before each visit:
My dog is in good general health and free from contagious conditions, parasites, or open wounds.
My dog is up to date on vaccinations.
My dog has not shown signs of illness (vomiting, diarrhoea, coughing, lethargy) in the past 48 hours.
I understand that swimming is a physical activity and that dogs must be medically fit for this kind of exercise. I confirm my dog has no medical conditions that may be aggravated by swimming.
Dogs will not be pushed or thrown into the pool.
All dogs must wear buoyancy jackets which will be provided. It is the owners responsibility to fit the jacket to their dog. Seasoned, fit swimmers may go without but must wear some form of harness which will aid retrieval from the pool.
Dogs will be given adequate breaks from swimming to avoid exhaustion.
We recommend that you have your dog insured.
If you have any concerns about your dogs health, we strongly recommend that you get approval from your vet before bringing them for a swim.
Please wear sensible foot wear – the area around the pool will get wet and slippy.
We reserve the right to refuse entry to any dog showing signs of illness or distress.

3. Owner Responsibilities and Assumption of Risk
I understand that all swimming is at my dog’s own risk.
I will not hold The Pooch Pool, its owners, or staff liable for injury, illness, or death sustained by my dog while on the premises or in the pool.
I will inform staff of any behavioural issues, allergies, or health conditions my dog may have.
I accept full financial responsibility for any damage or injury caused by my dog to other dogs, individuals, or property.

4. Cleanliness and Hygiene
Dogs must be clean before entering the pool. Please bring a damp towel to rub your dog down with to remove any loose hair before going for their swim. Muddy or dirty dogs may be refused entry to the pool. A cold water hosepipe is available to wash your dog with before entering the pool.
Dogs who defecate in the pool may be subject to a cleaning fee.
Female dogs in heat are not permitted in the facility.
Please allow your dog to pee or poop in the dedicated area outside the building. Please remove any dog poop and take it home with you.

5. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to qualify for a refund or reschedule.
No-shows or late cancellations may be charged the full session fee. Refunds may take up to 5 working days.

6. Media and Photography
I consent to the use of photos or videos of my dog taken during sessions for promotional purposes unless I notify staff in writing.
7. Agreement and Acknowledgment
By signing or electronically agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agreed to abide by the rules outlined above. I affirm that my dog is healthy and able to participate in swimming activities.
